Legalisation

This means that the Notary Public's signature needs to be verified by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office 'the FCO' and/or the Embassy or Consulate of the country in which the document is to be used. The certificate the FCO attach to the document is known as an apostille. 

The need for Legalisation / Apostille depends on the country involved and I can advise you on this.

There is a standard service apostille (which usually takes a 4-6 working days) and a premium apostille service (which usually takes 1-2 working days). Naturally, the premium service attracts a higher fee. I also use an agent, Apostille & Legalisation Services LTD, who will attend to the legalisation (which will attract an additional fee), they can also arrange for the documents so be sent to the destined country. A full breakdown of costs can be provided once what is needed has been ascertained.

Sometimes the document may need to be translated. Unfortunately I cannot carry out this service, however I use a company called LITS who are local professional interpreters, qualified translators, & forensic linguists  who work 24/7.
